A Golden Sun for my Lover
I am in control of my soul
If I die I die a hero
The sun in the morning is like gold
The moon full
The stars twinkling blue
All written in nature
All written
And you were written too
Like the flowers that bloom
And people that roam
On the face of this earth
Of this earth
Our earth
I can see our future
And you have taken control of my soul
Now I am weakened
But if I die I die a hero
The stars are twinkling blue
The moon's full
The sun in the morning is gold
A golden sun
You are my hero.
My Sun, your Moon
I can see the love in your eyes
My fire is dim
And lips pursed like my purse
My sun is down
Your moon is up
The mountains call out our name
The winds whisper
'Tis time
Our yearnings cause winter to be warm like summer
Our yearnings cause time to be still
My sun is down
Your moon is still up
Time is still
There is love in your eyes
My fire is dim
And now I have forgotten my name.
Other Suns
Other suns are shining in your secret place
You grin like there is nothing wrong in that
Their light glows
But unlike mine
Not better than mine
For mine was a virgin sun
Unfound by the astronauts of Akombia
A land of infidelity
A land were virgins tread not
Your new suns
Suns of Jupiter and of Pluto
Suns of galaxies of no importance
Tell me with these suns
Do you arise to the morning?
Do you arise to your glory?
Rays of the Sun
After you took away my morning glory
Many look at me with scorn
They say I was used by you
In the mornings I hide my face in the clouds
For the shame that hangs on my head is too heavy
I wish I never met you
I wished we never eclipsed that fateful day
Now I am dim
And it is not because I am filled with pleasure from you
But because you took my sun rays from me.

rays of the sun
quite profound with a great interplay of words...your sun, my moon and the denouement when the collision does not quite result in the massive explosion that seems to have been anticipated in the earlier verses despite my virgin sun having been kept from you and for you all this while.
well, just goes to show how deep the poets are and just how much feeling and passion for life and for their work they harbor
hope i shall be reading you more.
